The TLDF 2009

The research TIS undertook and presented at the TLDF 2008 indicated that the age of LD detection (in Mumbai) is currently 11.5 years (corresponding to grades six and seven in secondary school).

In addition, research studies and presentations by keynote speakers at the TLDF 2008 indicated that early detection of LD is beneficial in that remedial education delivered earlier is more effective, hence increasing the chances of remediation and a better future for the child.

Hence, with the intention of progressing from these outcomes, TIS has selected ‘Building their tomorrows, today’ as the theme for the TLDF 2009.
