

nasen is an educational charity and a membership
association which supports those who work with children and young people
with special and additional educational needs. Members include teachers,
teaching assistants, support workers, other educationalists, students
and parents.
nasen currently has 7000 members
throughout the UK and supports them through policy documents, journals,
its magazine Special!, publications, professional development , local
branch networks and newsletters. Its Web site contains current information
such as responses to government consultations. nasen's published documents
are held in very high regard both in the UK and abroad.
nasen
represents the voice of its members in a number of national and local
forums. They have been influential in their responses to consultations
papers and have worked closely with DfES, QCA and many other Government
departments to ensure that the voice of special educational needs are
heard.

Maharashtra Dyslexia Association (MDA) is a non-profit body of parents and professionals committed to safeguarding the
rights of people with Learning Disabilities to an appropriate education.
The MDA works to promote a better understanding of this
common but widely misunderstood condition and provide appropriate interventions
at micro and macro levels, thus working towards the acceptance of the
special needs of children with learning disabilities and enabling them
to reach their full potential.
