Tata Interactive Systems is part of the Tata Group, and our initiatives reflect the Group’s commitment to social causes and voluntary effort. TIS actively supports the remediation of LD to further its commitment to social causes – a tradition embodied by the Tata Group. TIS has developed several educational courses and learning tools – such as the award-winning Dyscalculia Screener – to help learning-disabled students achieve their true potential. Beyond the creation of such programmes, TIS aims to address LD issues at the grassroots. TIS has been instrumental in sustaining the existing LD Clinic at a Hospital in Mumbai – which was then the only – certified institution of its kind in India, dedicated to treating learning disabilities. Our LD team also collaborates with the Clinic to develop various LD tools to identify learners with special needs early on – our assessments are designed to spot the telltale signs that characterise learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dyscalculia and dysgraphia. Our innovative, remedial courseware is tailored around the needs of these pupils, and aims to help them discover the joys of learning, unhindered. Tata Interactive Systems and the Learning Disabilities Clinic have been working closely to help nurture the innate creativity of these special children, to encourage, enable and empower them to be all that they could be.
